Municipal elections are held every four years., at which time voters in the Municipality of Chelsea are called to the polls to elect a mayor and six councillors. Once elected, they will form the municipal council, which represent the population by making decisions on the municipality's policy directions and priorities.
Chelsea voters are encouraged to turn out in large numbers, as voter participation is essential to democratic life.

Advance voting: Sunday, October 26, 2025
Election day voting: Sunday, November 2, 2025
Election Chair
Charles-Hervé Aka acts as Election Chair for the Municipality of Chelsea. He is responsible for organizing the general municipal election, in accordance with the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities.
