In Chelsea, two positions are open for municipal elections:
The municipality has six electoral districts, each represented by a councillor. You must choose the position you wish to hold before applying.
Municipal elected official ensure that the municipal services provided meet the needs of residents. They also represent residents and defend their interests.
To be eligible to run for office, you must:

Please note that candidates are not permitted to use the municipality's brand image for their campaigns. This includes it's coat of arms, visual identity, and logo.
The Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities regulates signage during election periods. Consult Chapter VII.1 – Election signage before putting up your election signs.
Because roadside signage can be a safety hazard for road users, restrictions apply. Signs must not interfere with pedestrian or vehicle traffic or obscure road signs.
