Notice to residents of Ward 1
Please take note that at the Council meeting of December 4, 2017, a resolution was adopted modifying the procedures for the winter maintenance of the roads of district 1.
The modifications to the winter maintenance procedures are as follows:
The spreading of abrasives will now be done:
· On the full width of roads in curves, slopes and intersections only:
o Over a distance of thirty (30) meters before and after curves and slopes
o On a distance of thirty (30) meters before intersections
· During ice storms, and if the safety of road users is of concern, abrasives will be spread on the full width and length of roads as needed.
